Rag Timey song about a hopeless romantic.

Lyrics:
Well I'm not the type to weep and moan
and I certainly don't stay in denial.
I'm not sure if it'll work when I patch things up
but at least I'll be goin' out in style.

With a dozen what I think may be roses
wrapped up in gold-painted twine,
delivered to your door in my grand daddy's suit
with a bottle of some Indiana wine.

Well it's one o'clock at night and that may explain
why I answered the door with a gun.
As far as the address and the lock on the door,
I left your ass in 1991.

But if you want a tombstone
I'll build one out of Styrofoam
to mark when you ended your days.
That way your effigy
will be just like your memory,
it's ugly and it never goes away

Well the answer you gave kinda caught me off guard,
I was assuming that you'd sorta take me back.
And I worked real hard on my thank you speech
so if you don't mind could we maybe go with that?

With a dozen what I think may be roses
wrapped up in gold-painted twine,
delivered to your door in my grand daddy's suit
with a bottle of some Indiana wine.
