  • The whole album "Gold against the soul" is strong, not even one mediocre song on it, all killer no filler! Seeing the manics again in October, cant wait they are always great. best live band Ive ever seen, JDB is just phenomenal!

  • @marcvesper I could not agree more!

  • So fucking great!

  • at least a beaten dog knows how to lie ........... timeless

  • @tonyttt31 Yeah, I can't stand anything after Everything Must Go, to be honest, and even Gold is a little hit and miss. MSP live and die off of Holy Bible's unparalleled splendour, but, Sleepflower still has the best riff in all creation.

  • LOVE U

  • awesome++

  • @balucious really? I'm a huge fan but the last three albums were mostly rubbish. As dull as Lifeblood was at least you didn't find yourself shouting at the stereo "stop being a parody of yourselves". Plus it contained A Song for Departure - which is wonderful.

  • @xite0069 Shame, but its a bit of a running joke with them, you might be lucky to hear the intro riff, and then be called soft metal bastards, shame really case i love it :9

  • needs more richey :(''''''''''''''

  • this song is amazing, the Manics are amazing

  • the manics were a great band back in their day ,the holy bible was one of the best and most important albums ever made ,gold against the soul was ok but lyricaly its of the wekaer albums they made although it sounds metal and haunting still the lyrics are very weak,go seek the holy bible and then come back to this and see what i mean :)

  • I hated this album but love this song, The worst thing is that this is the first song, so you think you'r ein for an amazing album but in reality you end up with a bad Welsh version of hair-metal. don't get me wrong, I love the first and third album.

  • @leroykimbo God sent the riffs in dreams to him.

  • My favourit Manics song...what a riff

  • Saw them live a few days ago at the O2 in Birmingham, bit gutted they didn't play this. Quality set though.

  • love it

  • They can do no wrong.

  • James use to write some really good riffs.

  • I agree with you there. This was the second best song for me on The gold against the soul album, after From despair to where.
