Don Quioxte Ballet Choreography by Sayat Asatryan and Olga Tchekachova call 912.242 6245

The ballet is based , on the classic 1605 novel " Don Quixote of La Mancha" by Miguel de Cervantes. This version premiered in Moscow's Bolshoi Theater in 1869 with music by Ludwig Mincus and choreography by Marius Petipa and Gorsky.. More than 50 intermediate and pre-professional students from the Santa Barbara Ballet Center will be involved in the two act production. Beautiful costumes from the famous Bolshoi Ballet will illuminate the stage and help bring the intoxicating spirit of 17th century Spain right here to Santa Barbara. Sayat Asatryan, a former principal ballet dancer with the Kremlin Ballet, brought the ballet to town.
