This game... don't get me wrong, this is a solid action game, but it SERIOUSLY lacked as a DMC game... the ideas where there, but they weren't used properly, and they made the game slow and uneven. But, i will be grateful for it's existance, merely because this game is the start of the Style System we see utilized and perfected in DMC3 and 4

DMC2 was awesome. Sure, it pales in comparison with DMC's 3 and 1, but that doesn't make it any less entertaining.

I actually like how Dante was serious this time around. His Devil Trigger mode looked awesome, and the game overall was fantastic. Loved it and I still do.

All of you bitching about DMC2 if you had a time travel machine back then and you could see what Dante was going to become in DMC 5 you would very much appreciate this title

I'd have to admit although the game was ....."different" this version of dante was better stylish than his first carnation , of course 3rd was not so bad in style but after seeing the JP commerical they should bring that outfit back

@CarrotFox23 Devil May Cry 2 was actually always the last part in the timeline. Devil May Cry 4 was before Devil May Cry 2. Maybe Lady, Trish and so on got killed, so he became really dark and moody. However, I actually really liked Devil May Cry 2. The music was great, the action was again pretty awesome, if not even way better then in the first game, because it was a lot faster.

Devil May Cry 3 stays the best part in the series though. That was just a blast. I bought my PS3 just because of it.
