On June 4th, 2010, fire swept through two historic buildings in Gibsons Landing, bringing to a close a chapter in the history of our little town.
Coles Marine Diesel and the Wynken, Blynken & Nod Backpackers' Hostel were both destroyed, but thankfully there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is considered to be suspicious.

Two kids destroyed that history. A 13yo is charged with arson, with his case coming up this year in Feb. Hope they don't just give him a slap on the wrist.

Very sad to see these pieces of Gibsons' history disappear, and also sad for all concerned. Very well done video.

My family has had a place in Gibsons just down the beach from here. What a shame to see two landmark buildings go up in smoke. Great work on this video.
