A nuisance for the earth yes problem never. you underestimate the power of the earth.

To equate us to being even remotely equivalent in power to the earth is just ridiculous. It is like equating us to some super natural beings when we are not.

For example all the things we do raise the plants temperatures 0.6 deg C.  I can think of at least a half dozen species that does more then that and two that far exceeds what we could ever dream of. We are not gods

So because overpopulation was never really a problem, it never will be? There's no such thing as too many people? I find that hard to believe.

Let's face it, those pre-industrial folks were complete amateurs at screwing up. I think we have the power and knowledge to mess things up on a planetary scale.

And if the distribution isn't right, we could just allow some people to move to countries like, say, the US?

no over population problem. We do have an under population problem in western countries though.

The first writings on over population was from Homer in the Odyssey 800 BC when in his writings the reason for the Trojan wars was to rid the earth of the burden of the over population.

Through out all our history we thought there has been to many people and there never was.

Besides we are in the middle of an Ice Age. Glaciation is coming soon
