The abduction of Aung San Su Kyi and murder of her supporters has refocused the world's attention on the plight of the Burmese people.

Prisoner 2874 holds up the heavy foot shackles and handcuffs he was forced to wear during his long imprisonment. Although now safe in Thailand, the suffering he endured under Burma's military dictatorship still haunts him. He is determined to publicise the plight of his countrymen and has mounted an exhibition exposing human rights abuses in Burma. However, the generals are equally determined to prevent a new wave of protests and have been surprised by the enduring popularity of the opposition movement. On the streets of Rangoon, large posters warn people to be vigilant for critics of the government. They are to be regarded as traitors and must be eliminated. Supporters of Aung San Su Kyi have been arrested or executed. "Every night we are afraid that somebody will come knocking on our door," confides one opposition supporter. "One is simply afraid to go to sleep."

  • Well, it was Cyclone Nargis that hit Myanmar, not an earthquake. China was the one which got owned by the earthquake..

  • Its China that is supporting the Burmese Junta. They are a disgraceful evil government who supports arms to another Evil Junta. China I hope that God punishes your country someday. Not that you know who God is.

  • The guys who control the government can export tons of drugs per day and if a shipment is lost not big deal just send more, cheap labor. These guys party hard, they drive expensive cars and whoop it up at the expense of the whole country, what a shame for all that intellectual capital to go to waste, similar to what happened in Cambodia in that regard.

so the country it says not the government

But yeah I understand what your referring to

  • @jackyvix I was refering to your Government and its because of their communist idealism they have a inbuilt hatred for the Democratic free west and as a result countries like Burma are being protected, The result of that is a brutal regime that the Chinese government support, arm and allow millions of innocent people be murdered. They dont give a shit about this peoples sufferings.

  • @xxxdieselyyy you dont have to hav so much money..you just need to bribe the gov official..(no need to be higher rank)
