More Than 200 Greyhound Injuries Reported at Iowa Dog Tracks Since 2008

According to state records, more than 200 greyhound injuries have been reported at Iowa dog tracks since 2008. Reported injuries include broken legs, dislocations and head trauma. Most reported injuries were serious, and nearly two-thirds involved broken bones. Additionally, 29 dogs died or were euthanized during this period.

Since the release of this injury data, GREY2K USA has obtained video footage of some of the greyhound injuries that were documented by the state.
