TVN Dominator Reckless Driving 10 May 2010

Update 13 Nov: Wow, despite the bad quality, this little video has received a lot of attention lately and a huge spike in viewership. Thanks guys! :-)

I only wish the camera angle had been better...I was chasing this day for an Oklahoma City TV station (we did see two tornadoes near Wakita, just before this), but I didn't have time to adjust my camera afterwards, as I was driving. My camera was still rolling while streaming video.

Btw, I keep my tornado videos under a different account...this helps me keep my personal video separate from my professional videos.

(As an aside, it's funny how many people assumed I'm a girl after watching this...I chase with lots of different people, and it's not always my voice that you hear...what you don't hear is my rant on this subject after the camera stopped rolling...)

Anyway, thanks for watching...the more you watch, the more it helps me out! :-)

Previously: I don't care whether or not Reed and Joel and their crew had radio contact (I don't know if they did, but if so, it's no excuse) to tell them it was safe to pass a dozen or so cars on solid yellow lines, approaching a hill / freeway overpass where oncoming cars could be and were exiting the freeway...he only had to wait about 5 to 10 seconds and then he could be on his way on the freeway. My respect for Reed and Joel lowered quite a bit when I saw this with my own eyes.

Also, everyone in this line of traffic was going at the speed limit, so that's not an excuse for the reckless driving going on.

I only wish the camera had captured the situation better (Steve's footage of the TIV and driving on May 19th was much better). I cannot believe that this sort of illegal and reckless driving will get you media endorsements.
