way to abuse those you want to watch your videos!

Nice use of off the shelf components.
I'm a little confused about your use of the hard drive AC adapter. Is it plugged into an inverter or are you running DC directly into the AC plug?

That's a really kewl setup... ...I've been looking at getting a KMX Viper and it has been crossing my mind to hook up an electric hub motor like you've got... ...I just don't know where to get KMX bikes or the hub motors in Australia... ...I'll send you a PM if I struggle to find stuff here...

thank, nice setup too. a solar dock / charger would be nice i have bought my saddle pack for the batteries and will now lok aout for electronics. is there a specific motor you would recommend with regards too logevity, water tightness and eficiency. rob.
i just tried my kart for the first time with 2 x 12 volt sla bateries so was at 24volt as my esc is rated at 24 volt 7ah but it kept sputtering, so i fetched 2 more bateries and connected them to give more amps ( they where only 4 ah) and it still sputerred a lot more even the second time. could it be poor batteries with not enough ampage or the esc/speed controller?

try running 36v and see if sputtering persists. Maybe, you have a bad hall sensor?

loved the video , thanks. can you tell me what is the meh of the cells as im used to nimh and lipo on rc cars which is rated at milli amp hour e.g 4200, 3300 and such.
p.s i have a kmx here in UK and want a electric setup soon, i may go nimh 4200mah. rob.

Cells are emoli chemistry. each pack is 28V 3AH so the 2s2p setup gives 56v 6ah

How far can you go on a charge? and how long does it take to recharge? very very cool. does the motor mind that it is 56 V instead of 48 V or does the controller take care of that?

15 miles @ 25mph with 4 28s. Batteries charge in 1 hour. The controller doesn't mind 56v as it stays nice and cool.
