Music of Author, co-written with Eno: intelligent, acute and sardonic, one of the highlights of "Earthling", with a sound that was innovative at that time and still of relevance to the present, here brilliantly performed with the amusing irony of Bowie, energetic as always.

  • Thanks for uploading this live version! I saw this version on TV awhile back, and looked at many versions on Youtube to find it. This is the best live version I have seen so far. I love the balcony shots.

  • @poptophop

Thank you very much for the appreciation of and I'm glad you found what you wanted to see once again. I also think that this version is one of the brightest and centred of Bowie, certainly very pleasant and with one of his most successful Band.

  • I'm afraid of Americans

    I'm afraid of the world

    I 'm afraid i can't help it

    I'm afraid i can't.....

    it couldn't be more timely.....

  • @redsails2008

Johnny looks up at the stars...

    Johnny combs his hair ...

    Uh-uh-uh uh, uh, uh-uh uh-uh-uh

    (Long live to appearance's image: I'm afraid I can't)

    Thanks a lot for comment.

  • Are you afraid of Americans Fio? ;)

This is one of my favorite live performances by Bowie. Molte grazie :)

  • @VampireBowie

    No.

In this bipolar dimension in which we live, someone must make the big bad wolf and the lamb someone else ... if no, how could we equilibrate the duality without this dynamic, how can we evolve in this hard assembly workshop for our synapses?

Now, the real problem is Johnny: Johnny wants a brain. I'm afraid, I can't help ... him. LOL

Thanks dear Pete, I share your taste fully.

  • Thanks a lot! Always, my favourite channel on youtube :) kisses!

  • Great live performance ~ thanks for the upload.

Very glad that you prefer this one, because I agree: it's one of the most rhythmically hit-versions by Bowie, with one of the most "close-knit" Band among his. While I appreciate very much Campbell, I find excellent Alford ... about Gabrels, nothing to add to his skill that I have not already mentioned, as well as for Dorsey and Garson, all extraordinary Musicians, with the capital "M".

Thank you so much for your comment, since you're an expert. Glad to see you again.

  • Another brilliant live version of a great song, full of life, energy and watching the fun-loving side of our always beautiful shining star come out to play, truly a joy to behold. Thank you for again brightening my day, ♥♥♥♫♪♫☼♫♪♫♥♥♥
