En ces jours revient à nous un heureux souvenir, le souvenir de la naissance du Bien-aimé de Allah, la meilleure des créatures, notre maître Mouhammad. Quelle occasion éminente que les musulmans fêtent dans les orients de la Terre et ses occidents, par remerciement envers Allah ta^ala pour avoir fait apparaître notre maître Mouhammad à ce bas-monde.

إِخوة الإيمان، تطل على المسلمين في الثاني عشر من ربيع الأول من كل سنة ذكرى عطرة طيبة، ألا وهي ذكرى مولد حبيب الحق وخير الخلق سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم. وقد جرت عادة المسلمين على الاحتفال بهذه المناسبة منذ القرن السادس الهجري حيث عمل الملك المظفر حاكم إربل احتفالاً عظيمًا أظهر فيه الفرح بهذه المناسبة فذبح ءالافًا من الغنم والدجاج وأطعم الفقراء. وقد أقره العلماء من فقهاء ومحدثين على ذلك وقبلوه واستحسنوه لأَنَّ ذلك ليس فيه مخالفة للشريعة، بل هذا مما يوافقها

On the 12th of Rabi^ ul-'Awal of every year an honored and glorified memory shines over the whole world, and is commemorated by the entire Muslim world. Every honest Muslim participates in celebrating such an honorable memory to praise Allah for the blessing and endowment of Prophet Muhammad.
