What is the difference between killing a seal and killing a cow? The seals in Canada are not even close to being in danger of extinction and neither are cows. They are both mammals. They are both very edible. If you are opposed to the killing of seals, whales, and sharks when it is done in a sustainable way and consume any kind of animal products, then you are a flaming hypocrite. Animals are all equal. That is all.

I'm a hypocrite I eat meat (very little) mainly fish and chicken and wear leather. I think that animals should be killed as quickly and as 'humanely' as is reasonably possible and whilst they are being bred for food treated in a humane way. I'm not even against any time of cultures eating different (what I would think gross food) just if its done humanely. I even recognize that there may be need for animal testing but again I'm against unnecessary cruelty.

I so disappointing to see how we are just doing ourselves in by destroying our global ecosystem. Not only is whaling and sealing barbarically violent and unnecessary, it also disrupts the natural order of things. We are killing ourselves every time a human being takes the life of a whale, shark, dolphin or seal. We are slow to realizing that the advances that humanity has made are really counterproductive to the natural balance of this planet.
