@6joshh6 Maybe and a big maybe back then. I guess they didn't have to run against MBs or Auto Unions. We all know about the Prince of Darkness...Lucas. British light switch: Dim, Flicker, Off. You have a right to your opinion; mine of British engineering has never been very high. Oh, and I do own some interesting cars and motorcycles, but clearly know nothing. (rolleyes)

@Christine102938 you clearly know nothing about cars. Most of the best cars ever made were British. British Leyland made a few dodgy ones in the late 70s/early 80s but the vast majority of British cars were ahead of their rivals in most respects.

why didnt he get out and help the guy in the mini cooper?????????
-
@austinpowers1977 Its British. That all I need to know.

I really hate to see vintage cars turned into a BOS. I just breaks my heart. Glad the driver was OK, sad to see the mini die that day.
-
That sucks that someone screwed the pooch and made junk out of that classic mini.
-
Don't like the Mini on a track but love mine on the street. I drive a Boxster on the track and feel much safer.

haww shit son.
The driver posted last year:
I am the driver. No it was not driver error, I was hit by an off course Mini (that had been tagged by a FV ) exiting T-1 turning me sideways at 90 mph. 5 1/2 flips. I was ok, car was not. This was in June, new (faster) car on track by Jan.---I've been racing since 1958 in all types of cars...the Mini Cooper is probably the safest and most forgivable car I have ever driven, professionally or as an amature!!! BTW, the driver happens to be my brother! Way to go Bro
