When I first saw this advert it really scared me, but it's very informative. Very good advert.

@TotalKO1 I'm guessing you are just trying to be funny and clever, but I couldn't help but find your comment rather annoyint. When I was ten years old, I had a stroke. I'm fine now, but it took years to recover. My parents did not know children could have strokes, and they didn't take me to the hospital until HOURS (not 20 minutes,) later. I find it really irritating when people are trying to find somthing wrong with youtube videos or whatever the case may be.

wow, i'd hate to have a stroke/be with someone who has a stroke at a football game.
i mean those tickets are expensive!

I'd ring an ambulance even if it didn't know these were symptoms of a stroke.
Seems kind of futile though, given that a few seconds saved picking up the phone earlier will just get counteracted by an ambulance taking ages.

So, are we just leaving Steven Hawking to die?
reno573 2 years ago
@reno573 no reno, as you may be aware Prof Stephen Hawking has amyotrophic lateral sclerosisa type of motor neutone disease which is a slow, painful & crippling disorder.
Even if he had suffered a stroke the idea is to raise awareness to PREVENT people from being left to die

What's the point in these adverts when it takes 20 mins for the ambulance to arrive anyway!

tha point is , IF YOU DON'T RECOGNISE THE SYMPTOMS YOU WON'T KNOW TO CALL AN AMBULANCE UNTIL ITS TOO LATE!!!! what if it was your mum/dad/sister/brother/lover??
would you see the point then?

i think this is one of the most effective ads on tv at the moment and about a subject a lot of people dont know much about. Well done to the NHS for this one.

Thanks for your comments Andy, this ad will probably save more lives than all the previous information given out about strokes, I am a First Aid instructor & am always amazed at how little people know about stroke. I now use these videos in my training
