Well, Penn (and I realize I'm not actually talking to Penn here), I am Christian, Catholic to be precise, and I love your vids because I agree with many of your libertarian views. I believe gov't should be as minimal and as local as possible. Even your anti-religion vids, although I disagree, cause me to think deeper and question things, and for that, I respect you, sir.

This goes on and on and gets boring. Some politicians' beliefs are venal. It depends on your life experience. Of course probably not any from either party would seem so from a straight white male perspective. I'm jus sayin'.

In my experience democrats & republicans talk a LOT of shit to each other, but democrats tend to rely on facts & ridicule, while replicans tend to rely on emotion & ridicule.

The GOP in 2004, made opposing gay marriage a national issue. It's in their convention statement. The GOP ignores all medical science and say "it's a choice". Tried to ban gays from certain jobs(Teaching, military) in my town,i've seen referendums about housing that would allow a landloard to kick out gays...all heavily supported by GOP.

All modern GOP Prez candidates have towed the lines to the evangelicals, those that seek to deny civil rights to gays, ban them from the military, say "it's a choice" or wish to de-programed gays. AND follow a religion that says gays should be killed.

The right cites the SAME reasons against gay marriage as those that fought interracial marriage.

Party make up changes. Yes Democrats fought against it...but its not party- CONSERVATIVES fought it. Particularly SOUTHERN Dixiecrat Democrats.

And if we want to delve further...Conservative Christians aka the BACKBONE of the GOP fought it. Including interracial marriage.

Now today...the conservative Christians (usually GOP) fight Gay marriage for the same listed reasons.

As a liberal, I agree with this about "Bush is not evil but wrong" BUT...Democrats are hate? I have heard nothing but "Obama is wrong" and worse, even the "Nazi" and "anti Christ". So I agree with Penn- dont use "evil"

and if we want to talk "hate"...let's talk about the party that has a "problem" and often openly HATES gay people. Citing a religion is not an excuse.

No excuse for the gay bigotry.
