Whilst positioning to land I noticed the white landing T was actually pointing downwind!Part of the safety brief at this DZ includes OBEY THE LANDING T AT ALL TIMES (thats what they told me anyway).
I spotted this error at 300ft and wanted to turn into wind (obviously) but with 19 other canopies doing the same as me it wasnt easy or safe to do so.
I accepted a downwind landing which resulted in me being unable to run off the speed,my legs collapsed and the video camera was smashed on impact but to my amazement, still worked.
No broken bones and the camera was repaired with glue and gaffer tape within 24 hours.
