Breakaway, Chapter 12, PART 2 (A Jonas Sister Story)

Nick and Kevin were sitting on my bed, staring at the T.V., drinking sodas, while Joe, Frankie and I were on the floor, eating dinner. Apparently, Nick and Kevin ate before us. Which means they went to McDonalds and didnt bother getting us take-out.
"Guys, I swear if you spill soda on my bed, I will do such illegal things to you."
Nick laughed and Kevin rolled his eyes.
"Chill Linley. Im a pro at drinking Diet Cokes."
At laughed at Nick, and Kev rolled his eyes again.
"The Jonas Brothers biggest secret yet, to be revealed."
My eyes widened at the T.V. and so did Frankies.
"This is pretty over dramatic." said Kevin.
"Tell me bout it." Joe replied.
"In half an hour, only here," the T.V. blared again, "on E!"
"Turn the volume up Nick!" Frankie said, with a mouthful of mac and cheese.
Nick turned up the volume using my remote, while I took my cell phone out of my pocket.

Watch E! in 30 min. I looked up from my phone to see Joe raising an eyebrow at me.
"Braden as in Brey Davids? The kid next door?"
"You read my text?"
I raised an eyebrow at him, and he laughed.
"Yes. And how do you know him?"
"He goes to my school. And like you said, hes our neighbor, duh."
"Good kid. So is his cousin. We usually play ball with them."
Joe took me by surprise with his last statement. Brey never told me that he hang out with my brothers.
"And his cousin's sister, is H-O-T." blurted out Frank. I rolled my eyes and laughed with Joe, Nick and Kev.
"So, do you... like him? said Joe."
I almost spit out my Sprite, but then I swallowed, hard. If this was one of my brothers rooms we were at, I wouldnt care if I spit the soda out. But unfortunately, it was mine, and I didnt want to make a mess.
"Why, does everyone ask that?! And no, I dont."
Kevin chuckled, and Nick grinned.
"Thats a first. said Kevin, Most girls are head over heels for that guy."
"I dont really care about guys, Kev."
"Thats a first too. For a 12 year old girl."
I rolled my eyes, and turned my attention to the T.V.
"So are you guys close?"
I looked over at Nick, who took another sip of Coke.
"Yeah, you could say that."
He shrugged, then Joe raised an eyebrow at me.
"Since when?"
"Since I got here. Whats with the questions, guys?"
They all stared back at the T.V. and kept silent.
Linley has a boyfriend! sang Frankie, as my brothers laughed.
I put my plate down, and glared at all of them. They tried to keep straight faces, but I wasnt convinced they would let this topic go.
"Just because we hang out doesnt mean one persons crushing on the other."
"Sure. Whatever you say, Lee."
I glared at Joe and he shrugged.
"Why dont you like him?"
"Why do you care, Nick?"
"Because I do."
"Because its weird to think of him that way."
"See? Wasnt that easy to just answer the question?"
"Do I have to answer that one?"
"Okay, fine. Ill shut up."
"Thank you."
"Anytime."
"I thought you said youd shut up."
"Oh, oops."
"Nick."
"Ah! I keep-"
"Nick!"
