Dr. Frankenstein and his monster both turn out to be alive, not killed as previously believed. Dr. Frankenstein wants to get out of the evil experiment business, but when a mad scientist, Dr. Pretorius, kidnaps his wife, Dr. Frankenstein agrees to help him create a new creature, a woman, to be the companion of the monster.

This is why in Ghost of Frankenstein and Son of Frankenstein that Ygor played that musical instrument to control the monster. Frankensteins monster liked music and Ygor controlled him with the flute he was playing.

I feel so bad for the hermit fellow, his little cottage and all his possesions burned. Unless someone takes him in he nost likely end his days in the poorhouse.He and the monster had a real strong bond.
