Jesus spent most of his time alone with a hooker (mary mandolin), caused humanity to be divided (tower of babel, or well that was God but you get my point) and in the bible (not verbatim) "I come not to bring peace, but a sword" blah blah blah... "love no one else but me or youre going to hell" yeah... we should totally make entire governments based on these beliefs then everything will be perfect :P

What a horrible mix of misinformation, fear-mongering and blind faith. The 1000 year reign of Catholicism over Europe is responsible for millions of deaths (wars, the inquisition, the crusades) and for almost stagnating science, art and philosophy. The modern European culture (that is slowly turning away from religion) is the most prosperous, healthy and advanced one that this planet has seen so far. Only a fool would suggest a repetition of the darkest age of our civilisation.

Is western civilization not overall better than... anything? I mean I can't even think of anything that can compare. Also define your terms: what do you mean by "western civilzation"? Europe is far more secular than America and overall it's doing better in terms of economy AND government. You can make a good argument that the USA is going into the shitter, but that's more because of it's religiousness than in spite of it.
