I have this palette, and my lid closes? hm. but it's super annoying because my cosmic blue fell out of the holder so now when ever i open it cosmic blue and the pan always come out. and a HUGE chunk of my azaela is out. lol. i think ben nye should've spent a little more time on product DESIGN than product, because we all know the product quality is there! lol. great review! (:

question...why does holding your brand spanking new Ben Nye Lumiere Grand Colour Palette with any kind of tape have to be considered..."how ghetto"? "Ghetto" is definitely overused on this site. Wow! Just curious. Yeah, grab those pliers.

oh, and I was wondering how you guys got the chance to do highschool makeup? Most plays/musicals have crew all set up, and there are a few student crew members that do costumes/makeup, and most do use ben nye makeup. My school does. I walked into the costume room and wanted to see their makeup, and they took out a huge box of ben nye (mostly face makeup though) but yeah. How did they let you do makeup?

volunteer...its the easiest way to break into the buisness. Take buisness cards and network network network. Look the part!

Great review! I totally feel you on the plastic lids, they're pretty awful. My palette closes securely though, so maybe yours is just a fluke? I don't like the brush either. When I got mine (months ago), one color was broken and the brush came apart the first time I tried to use it, but the company I bought it from were great and replaced both items. I love this item, can't recommend it enough.

Thanks Bark! I use the brush, but I use it for applying lash glue on my lid for glitter...its pretty Crap-tastic! LOL! But glue picks right out of it. It works well for paint pots too since the fibers dont absorb the product. Thanks for watching!
