Portable Solar generator,,40 watt solar panel,,with controller and 200 watt inverter. I built this with easy repairs and upgrades in mind.I already had most of the parts in this,,I still need to purchase a new deep cycle battery.

  • bubba,,,,,do me a favor and don't worry about it because a 40 watt solar panel has never caused the battery to produce a gas....I have ran the finished version for a year without and sign of damage on the equipment............

  • What is the cost of materials to build one?? Also will this run small household appliances like a bread maker or toaster oven when the power is out?

  • bubba,,,do me a favor,,if u do get a biger battery,,deep cicle,,,when charging the battery produce gasses that in time will rust ur equipment,,so,,with that in mind,,put the inverter outside or make a comparment inside for it,,

  • Looks good!

  • i have the same idea, i used a new ice cube cooler though.

  • You do good work. The lack of small portable generators has both pissed me off and encouraged me to make my own setup as you have done.

  • Nice!
