Ron Paul has slammed everyone who tries to trap him every time I've seen him. He does it eloquently, yet clearly and his arrow hits the mark and makes the trapper look foolish every time. His weapon? The truth.
-
@eastwood13 he is kind and polite - that's probably what you mean by "soft-spoken".
but he is very very tough (see the 2007 debates when they ridiculed him and laughed at him but he kept saying unpopular but true things)
he always stands up for himself!
-
maybe im nitpicking but 2 people can't have a MONOpoly. maybe oligopoly is the right word.
-
@eastwood13 I agree, he sounds like an old man no body listens to. Kind of like that cute senile grandpa everyone's got.
-
@gaybot9000 so in other words, to prevent them ripping him apart without giving him time to reply he has to give a full and complete answer that cannot be ripped apart. His answers to questions are one of the many things that actually set him apart. His answers are full and complete and usually come with built in historical and constitutional support points/references. Something other candidates are SERIOUSLY lacking.
-
@gaybot9000 To give a short little answer like the rest of the candidates do would either require that he start singing the same droning idiotic tune they do, or that he leave himself open to be torn apart by their replies and not given enough time to explain how the constitution supports his position. Because they love to sell him short on time.
-
@gaybot9000 its not rambling. He has to go to great lengths to explain what he is saying because it is not the same rhetoric that everyone else is spouting. So if he just says his big headline point without the back story the rhetoric junkies will try to shred whatever he says. He is forced to give long answers because he is not just answering the question. he is also educating people on why he is answering the question so differently than the mainstream bullshit, and why he is right.

INCREDIBLY BIAS !!!

@bottleslingguy everything cooper talked about then is happening now, and somehow we r the ones with a tin foil hat.. go figure
Ron Paul's only weakness is he doesn't stand up for himself, he's too soft spoken...

What do you mean by "too soft spoken"?Do you think it means other nations wouldn't respect him?Do you think they respect Obama?I think DrPaul's intellect and reasoning overshadow the fact that he's not a bully. He's not an actor like the rest of them. He's got too much integrity and that's probably why the country is not ready for him.I hope he runs again in '12 and if he teamed up w/Jesse Ventura maybe that would change your mind as far as being loud spoken.

I saw this debate when it was originally on during the campaign...I wasn't even fully for Ron Paul (took me a while to break the grip the mainstream media had on me for a while) at the time but I thought it was INCREDIBLY rude for him to be treated that way.
It's just even more evidence that we need to all turn off the televisions and find out the truth for ourselves. They call themselves "unbiased" or whatever but there's no getting around it, they're completely worthless.

I started waking up almost twenty years ago after reading Bill Cooper's book, Behold a Pale Horse, but wouldn't allow myself to believe it because I just started having a family. But now after this whole RP thing I've come back to reality. This stuff is over the top and right in our faces. Bottom line is we've been lied to in so many aspects it's almost depressing. But that's why we've got to rise above it and open our minds.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
he does ramble a lot...

It might seem like that to you because he doesn't talk in pre-programmed sound bytes.
