  • IS there a ray price version of this up on youtube?

  • @jimmbo13 I don't know of one. Ray sang it before video tape.

    Bill

  • This is my favorite Ray Price song.Did buddy write it????

  • @steinsteel No, I don't know who wrote this.

  • I can't remember his name, but that fiddle player was on the first session I did after moving to Nashville years ago. We could hardly get a take b/c he had us all laughing so hard doing "Cartman" impressions...

  • @twanghang That's David Russell

  • I'm just not a big Zum fan, not downing them cause they sound great going in a Fender tube but the tone just aint there in a Peavy for me

  • A great version of a great song!

  • @Steelpicker Ray Price wrote it with Willie Nelson.

  • @steinsteel Ray Price and his buddy Willy somethingorother wrote it.

  • Love Emmons and kicking this song off is David Russell on Fiddle, I use David on my recording session at Gene Breeden Studios! Keep it COUNTRY!

  • 1975 Fort Worth Tarrent County center..

Ray Price and Orginal Cherokee Cowboys were all there and I had the best time back stage with Ray, Darrell, Bush, Buddy, and Willie and more. That was the best show ever and we all still talk about it today. Since then I have spent many a good nights with those boys and they are as good today as they were back then.

Just Glad they kept is country ! Ray Price as good as he has ever been ! God Bless Him....and Willie to.......God Bless Them

  • A great Ray Price tune by Buddy Emmons!

  • @steinsteel I always thought that Willie Nelson did.

  • I had the honor of recording with Mr.Emmons in 1997. I asked him to play one of my guitar solos on the steel instead of me doing it on guitar. What a nice and humble man. His playing made me fall in love with the steel... :) Great memory.

  • @delora33 -- that's the power of the steel. No other instrument has it, not even the fiddle.
