I was under the impression that goyim are not allowed to be at the Shabbat table...I'm not Jewish, but (b'ezrath HaShem) am working to get started on my conversion. I have found that some rabbis refuse to have goyim at their table. Is that just a stubborn thing, or is it mandated somehwere in Torah?

Wow! That is the greatest speech on Judaism I have every heard. Now, if you could convince the Rabbis of my community of this. Many of the Shuls in my area (including my own) are literally dying off. Why? As my Rabbi, of blessed memory put it "This isn't a Jewish Neighborhood any longer". The concept of converting non Jews is almost Alien to the Rabbis in power now. But, I will resolve to change this in my life. Thank you. Peace.
