A much more realistic scenario, that will make everyone happy, is that our steaks soon will be grown directly via cloning techniques, not involving a conscious animal. That way nobody has to feel bad about eating meat, and even the vegans can return to a moral natural human diet, which includes meat.

But it really is fascinating that you don't seem to engage the reality that nature is incredibly brutal, involving murder, disease and suffering on a fantastic scale even ignoring human activity.

Secondly, domesticated animals live on land owned by farmers who today get their income from the sale of meat. If people stopped eating meat, those farmers would slaughter all their animals and start farming something else. The alternative is not that the animals get to roam free in pastures maintained by humans for no reason what so ever. In practice, most domesticated species would go extinct practically over night. Possibly with the exception of locations that convert grass to milk/wool.

You are being quite laughably naive when you argue that cows should be able to roam free and be able to love each other. First, the cows we have today are artificially selected by humans for things like meat and milk production and against feral traits. They would get raped in the wild and can not survive without human protection. The same is generally true for all other domesticated animals.

I've been a veggie since 2008 but only in the last couple of months have I began to become truly free and only in the last week or two am I truly free and do I realize how deluded the whole world is. It's great to be free but disturbing how oppressed the minds of the world is.
