where most of our higher order thinking processes are blocked focusing all available resources to fight or flight and our senses. That's we simply turn scrappy, or lift the burning car off someone thats pinned underneath, lol.
I think what it is with animals is that thier defense mechanisms aren't buried under so many layers of thought as ours our. Where as we learn to fight animals don't need to it's burned in almost like firmware available instantly with no hesitation, where as we premeditate success probability, method of defense, and act on experience and then physically react based on available methods. Not nearly as efficient as an animals integrated defense instinct. Only in extreme danger do we act on instinct
