U.S. Army Rangers Jump Into Afghanistan - Operation Rhino (2001)

U.S. Army Rangers from the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment make a jump into Afghanistan. The landing zone (LZ) of which the Rangers landed would later become known as "OP Rhino" after which the operation was named after. Footage shot from October 19-20, 2001.

no the only combat jump was 173rd out of Venchenza Italy they jumped into Northern Iraq in '03

@USMilitaryVideos the 82nd has 5 combat jumps, and iraq is not one of them. trust me, i've been smoked mercilessly for not knowing what jumps we have and haven't done.

Hehe, i met one of the guys that was a part of this. He was a Chemical Operations Specialist but attached to this group of guys. Op rhino, did they come out of bragg? Only reason i say so is because i thought theres only been one actual combat jump since the start of the war and he had the bronze star on his chute (talking his subdued airborne shoot on the upper leftabove the US ARMY tape) meaning a combat jump. Someone please correct me if Im wrong.

How many life lost? how many life save (safe)? lets all warriors know that they will no long-term psychological trauma; and not alone in dealing with a psychological wound or traumatic brain injury!

I always remember my husband he said: "There's nothing classified or secret about we do. At the end of the day, it's just all about saving lives!", I am proud of him, he is my hero in my life forever!
