My grandma's whole side of the family was born and live in St. Augustine, her dad my great grandfather used to roof Flagler College. I visit there all the time and I love it just being there makes me happy. It's a very beautiful city and I suggest anyone who is looking to go on vacation go.

St Augu/ JVille...this is where my family is considering our next family vacation in early April,2012...love to find a great place to stay @ Ponte Vedra. If you have any good insight, let me know...accomadations or recreation..we're not much into the wine scene though.

@dallasdiva; I think u need to recheck where u get ur info. Santa Fe was est in 1608 whereas St Augustine was est in 1565. So that makes St Augustine older.

I am a florida born and raised girl and Love St Augustine. I live in Ocala, Fla and I would absloutly love to move closer there. I have been to the fort hundreds of times and take my family who ask me when are we goin again. I am not a big fan of the beach tho, I find it rough to walk on due to the crushed shells. I think if people are not happy they should just leave, we need these tourist the economy has hit us hard here.
