This piece was recorded when Aaron was thirteen years old in anticipation of his performance at the TMTA competition in June 2009. This recording was done at the same time as his Brahms Rhapsody in G Minor recording which is also on Aaron's youtube channel, tbkurz.

  • I'm so in-love with your music..

  • Thanks so much, Kevskince109! Sorry for the late reply@

    Aaron

  • Please let me say one more thing: in the pop music there are many comparisons. If i had to compare you, ok, i know not all the great pianists, i would say you´re playing like the superior Daniel Barenboim. I love his wonderful touch and playing and his musicality. And i think this comparison is not a shame. I heard Barenboim and LangLang together for an encore and I knew:between the two are worlds. Barenboim played after LangLang his first note and it was stunning. You are so stunning too!

  • Dear Chrisy299,

Thank you so much for all of your incredible compliments, especially those regarding my touch! Your comparison of me to Daniel Barenboim is greatly appreciated as well. Finally, thank you for all of your continuing suport of me, and I hope to have some new videos up very soon!

    Sincerely,

    Aaron

  • @tbkurz I know that he has much more experience and routine than you and you need a little more time but your playing, your sound and your kind to play are very similar. I felt a bit sad and so i heard your Rachmaninoff here and the Prel in C. I can hear that you like this composer. It is a shame that you'll probably never achieve the fame of a Greyson. But this is surely not your will. You are on my channel now and I´m so in love with your sound and playing. All the best with a little hug from me.

  • Dear Chrisy299,

Thank you again for your wonderful compliments! Your continuing support of me is great and I really appreciate it. I hope to have a new video up very soon, so stay tuned!

    Sincerely,

    Aaron

  • @Chrisy299 Ahh, Chrisy299, fame is NOT for those who seek it and lust after it...but instead will belong to those who forsake it, and entrust themselves to the luscious beauty of the music herself. Find the love inside the music...that is much more powerful than fame. The music does not serve us, those who play....we serve the music.

  • @Chrisy299 Barenboim, while hugely talented, never shied away from directing attention to himself and away from what he was playing. He was a flashy pianist with a know-it-all attitude. This recording by Aaron is the opposite: an obvious humility always present, even when the music requires power and strength - which Aaron has in abundance.

It troubles me that this awe-inspiring recording still stands as Aaron's crowning achievement. Please, Aaron, give us more of this calibre :)

  • After hearing this wonderful videos, for me is Aaron on of the greatest pianists i´ve ever heard in all my time as musician. The interpretation, the touch on the piano keys, it is such a impressive Feeling to see and to hear him.

  • ...bravissimo!!!! ...in bocca al lupo per il futuro!!!
