I love camping with this tent. I'll save the nylon for backpacking! The location is Bruneau Pool off CJ Strike Reservoir (Snake river), Idaho.

  • Also, if you happen to respond, is there a gap between the large awning and the tent that allows rain through? If not, how are they joined. Thanks.

  • @norpett1 The tent/awning roof are attached, you simply roll the awning roof to the top if you don't need the awning. I've experienced mild rain and never had any leaks. If you watch it during rain, the water beads-up and rolls off the canvas. NEVER pack this tent even remotely damp. I packed up after one cold trip with condensation on the fabric, and next time there was mold spots forming; I recommend scotch guard or other sealer for prolonged rain. Feels like the mansion of tents overall

  • I cant wait to get one.Do you have the screen set up for the awning?

Whats the dog name?Looks like a good dog.

  • @johnnyshark42 No, there's few insects here in Idaho, I don't need the screen. That's Lucy, she's an outdoor enthusiast as well, just have to keep her curious nose from rattlers. We're heading out Saturday (early!) to camp and fish at a nearby reservoir lake - and I can't wait!

  • Is this the 12x9 tent?

  • @fyrdog21 Yes. I've used it about 10 trips now and still love it.

  • Very nice video, well done. I had just about decided on a new Eureka Titan, but then I got onto the Flex Bow because of the easy set up. Now, since you say one man can put this up, I'm pretty sure this is the one: higher roof, big windows all around, and the possibility of adding on the screen room later. Is it totally, 100% rainproof? I camp 6 months per year, and am concerned about how well canvas will handle 5 days of continuous rain on the Oregon coast with standing water on the ground.

  • how many hours does that heater run for with the 20lb tank?

  • @backwoodsBrophil I agree, I own one and I put it up alone (5'10") and take it down. Not too hard at all once you get the hang of it. It takes longer to sweep out than it takes for one person to take down and have in the bag.

  • I own one of these model tents and also have both the screen enclosure and the room enclosure add ons and these tents are awesome!

Sure, it's heavy but it's not meant to be a light, nylon backpacker tent, it's a very strong and sturdy tent that is made extremely well. I wanted a tent I could stand in and would hold up and I could pass down to others and this is it!

The poles are not flimsy aluminum either, good and strong as is the material.

  • set this tent up in backyard before we hit the rode.three weeks and hail, wind , rain storms later no leaks or problems.this is the best canvast tent i have owned.i have hillery canvast 20 years. still works just got to repair some poles.unlike most owners .i have the inclosed awning with wall to wall indoor carpet.made it a liveing space.love this tent.

  • Can you tell me where your tent was made? I see the company is based in UT but I don't see anything about where they're actually produced. Looking for a U.S. made tent. Thanks!
