I kinda like the shouting that Owen Pallett does in some of his songs. It makes the music sound slightly opera-styled, and I think it does convey quite a bit of emotion- at least more so than screaming in metal songs.

@glaringradiokid Uh, yes, of course. This would almost be as good if the screaming part wasn't so ridiculous sounding. Screaming is only good when you can convey emotion. Here it just seems like someone yelling into a mic.

@BlownMacTruck Surely shouting is a forcing of the vocal chords for more volume/power. I wouldn't call it screaming in the sense of metal screaming.
