David Barton discusses the importance of the Supreme Court with televangelist Kenneth Copeland, telling him that 4 of the 9 current justices have no fear of God while 4 others clearly fear God and seeks to implement his will and brags of the victories the Right has had since the confirmations of Justices Roberts and Alito.

  • Obama for the win!!!! Keep these, for lack of a nice word, idiots out of the interpetation of the law. I do not want to live in a theocracy. Especially when I am not a christian, and truthfully find them scary beyond scary.

  • Socialism includes countries such as, England (and the common wealth there of which includes Canada), Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and pretty much most of western Europe. These are countries that are free to say and watch whatever they want as well as having medical help for everyone, less crime over all, stronger economies, ect. SO far I see nothing wrong with Socialism, but I see a lot wrong with these guys trying to force Christianity onto every citizen and limited our rights by their book.

  • barton's relationship with honesty is like the relationship between a pimp and marital fidelity....

  • People like this quack won't be happy until the US is a theocracy

  • This conservative, fundamentalist, partisan activist produces a bunch of historical DVDs and books which he claims are "truthful", but are contorted distortions to promote his purity nation. Barton needs to be countered.

  • This man is a charlatan by all accounts. I live in Texas and I am deeply disturbed that we have elected officials on our school board here that have nominated this huckster to critique public school history curriculums. What an out rage! The Rev. Peter Marshall is another wacko our SBOE decided to nominate for this task as well. When will this madness end?

  • The correlation between Christianity and honesty is no more powerfully undermined by David Barton himself.

  • I am concerned about a number of discussions with David Barton and Kenneth Copeland. Mr Barton has an agenda and he believes a Pro Life Republican as President is in the best interest of America. He then finds scripture to fit his agenda.

  • How nice. Here we have an individual whose only education consists of a Bachelor of Arts degree in religious education from Oral Roberts University, and an honorary Doctor of Letters from Pensacola Christian College, claiming to be an expert on the Supreme Court. Not bright enough to get into a law school, or pass a bar exam- but somehow, this inbred hillbilly is supposed to be a "legal expert".

And people wonder why no one with a functioning brain takes these dominionist christers seriously.

  • I don't want people who fear God controlling the laws.

Next thing you know we'll be sacrificing goats.

  • Then taxes became a bad word under the likes of Reagan who made the individual more important then the society and I think we have proof of how that worked out. The country was founded at a time when we did not have the issues we have today. We must be free to change as the need arises. WE are dealing with a population that far out lives those in 1776 and who need health care. We are dealing with a world in which we need ways of dealing.
