By the way I have to ask why do you think that they are morons? You don't even know anything about them. If you don't know the reasons for why people behave as they do and you judge them is it because you're brought up to think so or something else? Just asking.

And therefore we are all indoctrinated some way or an other. If you for instance think fundamentalist christians and why do they have such believes. Most them usually have grown in christian family and their identities consists of those beliefs so they cannot give up the beliefs even if the they would seem to be illogical. I don't think that they are morons because they act a certain way that seems odd to us. I think that their background is different.

The point was that people behave as they do because of their understanding of the world (including themselves). The understanding comes through the experiences in life and people learn from those. And the experiences are moulded by the environment where they live. For example if you'd have born in a religious country let's say India you'd have their belief system or if you had born 80 years ago in a nazi family you would've been a nazi. Our culture reflects how we behave.
