On pourrait presque entendre un cornet, si ça n'était pas accordé en tempérament égal. Surprenant, mais pourquoi pas un saxo qui imite le cornet? Dommage pour la grosse basse en pizz derrière.

Is this a saxophone? Quite daring, using an instrument invented in the 19th century in renaissance music.

Yep! It's a saxophone indeed... Quite extrordinary... Never heard any rendition at all of any dowland song before that had a saxophone in it. I must admit I like this one, though.
