Tonight I was invited to the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council meeting to hear if they were willing to help support our program with a monetary enhancement of Two Thousand dollars essentially for camera designated primarily to benefit the community of skid row residence and homeless if they have an interest the hobby of photography or blogging as we are a media self promoting entity. It is really something special when you have a dream or in this case a vague vision come to life and when the support and confidence of others in word, action, deed or in this case, monies. Now the club will have the necessary technology to get off the ground and God willing grow beyond any of our expectations. As I look back there were several people that from the very beginning were there for me pretty much for the long haul. First to come aboard was artist and community leader Dave Bullock, next was my good friend the Los Angeles Town Crier, Don Gaza and finally at all times I the encouraging words of Lesley Taplin, then you add in United Correlation East Prevention Project that provides our space free of charge and my longest supporter Anita Nelson of SRO Housing Corp, thanks to one and all.
Blaze-Out!
Congrats Blaze, Skid Row Photography Club can use parts of those $2000 to pay homeless people for their stories. Keep up the excellent work!
