It's about more than a step show ...

Yes, they were average but to be fair, the rest were as well if not less than. What I saw was precision and energy in the winner's performance that I did not see with the others. When will we as black people stop making a race issue out of everything and simply step the game up? "We" were caught slipping in an area we originated and tend to dominate and got comfortable. Is that a white girl's fault or our own? We set our own stage with mediocrity, they do not. That's the difference.

I see your points. Years ago I was invited to a traditional Kabuki and white people were the performers. The Japanese in the audience were highly offended, they didn't boo but some left and others sneered with disgust.
Why? Maybe they thought the meanings to this form of drama would be lost and treated like a fad losing all it cultural aspects. Black folks on the other hand roll out the welcome mat to trivialize their culture turning it into a fad.

I'm still loving this video. For those who still disagree lemme make this simple for you. For hundreds of years whites have made blacks go above and beyond to receive recognition for anything that is why we were forced to have our own magazines, genre's of music, dance, fashion, hairstyles, schools, etc. So when a white person trying to be hip shows up at your doorstep don't reward them for simply showing up! Make them work for it.

Just re-watched this video. It is so deep on so many levels. It had me thinking for example, why are black actors SO happy when they win an oscar, but seem slightly less enthused when winning an award given out by black organisations? Its like everything needs the white establishments'' stamp of approval in entertainment / general life otherwise it is not up to par...puzzled...

LMaooo Gooorl this happens soooo much its annoying its actually happening right now in a way with beyonce lady gaga n brit spears they all released singles but beyonce is the only ones who is not performing at the level someone of her status should be doing and blacks are basically saying her music was worse than the other 2 which we know thats not the case but its like she gotta be so much better lol

i think members of the NPHC should be judges for future step shows

funny. glad i found your channel
Alot of your points were VERY VALID. Getting a pass on the first go around, sticking together, etc. AKA's do need to STOP with the hair shaking in competitions where other nationalities are competing. It does not impress ANYONE.
With that said, HAS A WHITE FRAT EVER WON AGAINST THE BLACK FRATS? Brothers.........if some thick bald headed Vin Deisel looking white frats were to compete on the scene and drive the sistah wild..........IJS
