Caterham Seven at Shelsley Walsh

Summer 2005, roadgoing tyres class B1. 32.81 seconds. 2nd in class. However I've since done 30.89 as a result of the new surface and using different gearchanges.

what is the point of hillclimbs??? Errr were you there yesterday (sunday 17th august!)? Another moment in history was created again..22.58 seconds of it! And to have a spitfire display and see the maserati 250f and ferrari dino 246 roar their way up...pure magic! Top vid by the way!

It was a great day wasn't it. Huge crowd, great atmosphere, magnificent historic cars, great commentary, the Spitfire, class records falling - and I got a 31.34 first in class :)

Looked good to me. Where did you change your gear changes for the faster run? I guessing up to third for that first left hander?? instead of holding second? What engine are you running? Nice vid keep them coming

That was a good guess!! Yes, changing to third prior to the first left hander (Kennel) and then changing down to third rather than second for the left/right (bottom and top S) - but you have to carry a lot of speed to keep it on cam.

i even caught the sun lol! I've been goin to shelsley for 20years now...i tell people that it was just 3.5 seconds ago though as that was the record at the time hehe! My spot is at crossing by the speed trap...best spot in motorsport..its hairraising standin so close there believe me!
