Search Davy Graham and Alexis Korner. Davy Graham was to contemporary folk what Elvis or the Beatles were to Pop
-
@boleary100 Yeah they did, it's on their album 'Reflection'. I highly recommend it
-
@gazzump I must ask. Who is Graham and Korner? I'm on a folk music spree and I need any wisdom i can get my hands on :)
-
who else recorded this luvly song? it feels like a HYMN to ALMIGHTY GOD.
Oh God it does!

I continue to be absolutely staggered by this incredible group. Added to their extraordinary musicianship and cohesiveness, they're also amazingly versatile. RIP Bert, long live Pentagle.

People often can't appreciate the shoulders than later artists stand on! Compare what was before Jansch, Renbourne, Graham, Korner and the like. They were the "beatles" of the genre
-
@PissteethJenkins "sheer virtousity"?? Those small time stooges don't come close to the playing of most good bluegrass groups. They're just a crude bar band and are musical dwarves compared to Pentangle. Great musicianship can be subtle, smooth, and jazzy. It doesn't always need to super fast.

Dear Bert,

This is the most beautiful version I have ever heard. The singer is absolutely fantastic. - Is it possible to fall in love by video?
