Hey everyone this video shows you how to downgrade your PSP without a pandora battery and magic memory stick, and instead with the use of version 6.20 TN-B HEN. In this video I will show the files you need to have on your memory stick, where they go, and how to make use of them on your PSP through the process of downgrading.
Requirements: Your PSP must be at official firmware 6.20 before this procedure can start. In theory you could downgrade to any firmware you wish, however in this video I will be downgrading a PSP 3000 from version 6.20 to 5.03, as version 5.03 has complete custom firmware that can be safely run on it. My PSP 3000 has the 03G module, check to make sure you have this module and not the 04G module on the PSP 3000, otherwise I would highly recommend you not attempting this downgrade due to the high possibility of bricking. You can check which module you have by running PSPident v0.7 while in 6.20 TN-B HEN.
You need to be running 6.20 TN-B HEN, which all of the download links and information you need for that can be found in this video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UyX8BFqkdE
The only difference is that you need to install TN-B HEN as opposed to TN-A HEN, which the link can be found right below here:

OFW 6.20: http://www.mediafire.com/?1avmq44p76dkc3y (only use this to update to if you are over 5.03 and under 6.20)
OFW 5.03: http://www.mediafire.com/?d5zilkmk1gy2g4d (you need this in your PSP-GAME-UPDATE folder, if there is not already and UPDATE folder in the GAME folder, then create one and place the EBOOT.PBP in there)

(This tricks your PSP into thinking it is version 5.00, allowing you to update to version 5.03.)

If at this point you decide you want to downgrade, all you have to do is download the files you don't already have from up above, extract them to some place on your computer, and then put them in the appropriate place on your PSP's memory stick. In the beginning of the video I show you the files you need, which I put on my desktop, and then I show you the placement of them on my memory stick when my PSP was plugged into the net book and in USB mode. It is a pretty simple process other than that, once you have 6.20 TN-B HEN, just enable the FAKE INDEX.DAT on your VSH menu, and then remove the memory stick, and reset the VSH, then when the PSP completely reloads, reinsert the memory stick and update the PSP to 5.03 (this will work because your PSP thinks it is version 5.00 because of the 5.00.txt file in your SEPLUGINS folder.)
When the PSP re boots at the end of 5.03 update, if you get a white screen then follow these instructions to recover as shown in the video:
Fully turn off your PSP by holding the turn on / turn off button and the R trigger. Then hold down the start and select and buttons and well as square and triangle, and then turn on your PSP. Now your PSP will be running OFW 5.03 and you can run Chickhen R2, load CFW Gen-C, and then update to Prometheus-3 v2.
If i downgrade to 5.03,can i update to 6.20 if i want to?

Whats the Fake index.data for.

@Bryan102869 It allow the PSP to read the .txt file in your seplugins so your PSP really thinks it is version 5.00, so you can "update" to version 5.03.
