The recording is from 1996, made for the celebration of Ivar Aasen, who wrote the lyrics. The arranger is Jon Anders Halvorsen, who sings the lead. The tune is from Telemark, in local tradition. The text expresses a wish for a place to call "my own", only a small spot. As far as I know, it is not translated. From an "expert" point of wiew, the connection to Viking images seems a little odd (I was there when the record was released).

Where do you have the pictues from? How old are they? Who made them? What story do they tell?

They are illustrations for a viking saga history book, the illustrations are from 1800century, but the book is from 1150.
They were done by Norwegian artists(Christian krogh to name one).
The second pic(0:16) is a pic of Earl Håkon Sigurdsson, the pic shows him sitting in a bed, thinking hard about a problem he has to solve.
