dog's eat everything, my cat isnt trained but it buries her poop and don't show them when they're pooping but dogs.. THEM EFFIN SHOW THEM INFRONT OF YOU.

lots of species of animals eat feces, the most accepted reason is because there are residual microbes that aid in digestion leftover in poop of adult animals, think jamie lee curtis and her activia commercials. most herbivorous animals do it too

You mean I have to start buying dog food now?? UNacceptable!
Dogs eating cat poo is natures way of recycling.

merci beaucoup, dear michelle ...
I love the way you share your own experience with us, and your surprising advice has truly caught my curiosity ... only yesterday, our ckc puppy took off on our walk through the forest in order to retrieve a huge trophy of what seemed to be the dehydrated remnants of a delicious human's dinner ... foolishly, I ran after her screeming, and guess what, she enjoyed this "game" very much, running away and laying down in a safe distance to devour her treat ... :o)
hi michelle
just sharing feedback after having applied your suggestions on detaching from the idea "my dog should not eat cat-poo, horse-poo, human poo etc.
first thing, we opened the covered cat-toilet, and during our daily walk stayed relaxed, accepting the idea that our dogs will go hunting "trophies" ... yet, surprise, they didn't do it anymore!
it has been a great relief for us AND for the doggies to allow them to be, loving them unconditionally ...
with gratitude

Does it make Alfie sick if he eats it? If not then he has one hell of a stomach hehe

Hi
Yes sometimes, he will eat most things at least once and if he brings them back up he may even eat them again!!! :)

Thanks for the comment, another tip I have is also to not apologise for your dog doing this.
I used to apologize for Alfie and have now stopped that because he will only be reflecting yourself and the other person, either thoughts or physically.
I used to find myself making excuses when people commented on how short Alfie was for a Labrador and then I realized that the people who said it were short themselves. I no longer do this, I am just aware of the reflection.
Best Wishes
Michelle
