@mrjamespage I watched Food Tech with Bobby Bognar. He went to the Ocean Mist Farms for a taping about spinach. In the video you can clearly see a LARGE amount of product left behind. It appeared to be extremely wasteful in the process of how they were doing it.

@chechnya It's the pack styles. theyre cutting bunched and the machines cut for bagged processing. no waste, just labor intesive

Maybe the person posting this video can answer a question. Why do you use manual labor when there are machines that harvest spinach without a lot of manual labor? It appears that there is a large amount of waste involved in manual harvesting.
