And I knew we were a pure republic, which is irrelevant, seeing as how we no longer are a republic. By capitalizing the "D" mid sentence & hyphenating it shows even more of your ignorance. A pure republic protects individual rights while democracies are mob rule & destroys them. "Democratic republics" such as the u s of A are notoriously corrupt. We were initally a pure republic.
