What an idiotic comment from that 'Tucko' geezer? Anyway, yep we copied USA soul from Townshend to Weller cos its brilliant. Yep Italian suits & Scoots but Mod is very much a British phenomenon! AND, I'm not in the 'keep it British' brigade - everyone is welcome the world over to be a Mod! Sorry tho, that dont include donuts who use tracks like 'Popcorn by Hot Butter' [a group of hippy session musicians] as a 'MOD'[?] soundtrack? Vid wasnt worth watching with that goin' on in background, sorry!

too bad you didn't make it mod..woulda been cool..was that devo in ther, too...c'mon. When I think of easy it would have been to find a real hip mod track...well, you know

I understand what is meant by "keep mod British", in that the subculture originated in England, and it was somewhat patriotic, but never racist. Albeit, the scene incorporated Italian suits and scooters, french hairstyles, and American modern jazz, soul, R&B and rock, American Army parkas and American Levi jeans. But the sum of these parts was a British phenomenon that was "mod".

The music on this clip ruins it completely
Yes, the music is way out of place in this video.Mod is worldwide, though packaged and rooted in 60s UK subculture, was definitely a mixture of US,French,Italian, and other cultures/music/fashions of the times. Mod is a multiracial/religeous/gender subculture that allows the diversity of its members to be on a level playing field.Whether intended or not, "Keep Mod British" sounds like National Front rhetoric, and is offensive to to those of us who are/were Mods in the rest of the world.

here we go again, USA trying to copy a british phenomenon....and ruining it with a shite soundtrack. There are so many songs you could've chose.
Keep Mod British.
