A new international high-speed service is operating between Helsinki and St. Peterburg, using equipment similar to the VR pendolinos.

However didn't Fiat use the patented powered tilt technology from the ill fated APT - A British train! And doesn't the vid suggest its made in the Czech republic? Its more multicultural than people realise!

i think that the pendolino was put together in my local area was cool and i have had one weeks work experience helping mend and maintain the pendolinos and they are impressive pieces of kit. not the best locos invented granted but they are very good in my books and i am a steam fan not a diesel or electric.

First of all the whole technique was invented by the Italians.
And second (and I'm sorry to say that) some of their products are desasters. If I take a look at the ETR470 and also the CD680... I'm sorry, get it off the rails onto the junkyard !

English? Why? Pendolino is an Italian idea, made in Italy... so I think that is more correct speak Italian when we talk about Pendolino... If we speak about The Rocket (the Locomotive or Ronnie O'Sullivan) English is its language... but not for Pendolino... :)
