damn. It was real killer, it was built in 2 hours back in OH before CQWW 2003 SSB: Did you fix it or replace it? Where I can collect those fishing poles? LOL

That one was cheapest as it can go.. 4*10 m fishing poles and abt 6m aluminium boom. Aluminium wire as elements. thats it!

Yes, it was a bit windy and there were regular rain showers. Basically this QTH has a direct shot towards Europe, NA and SA. So the wind has a long way to "accelerate" :-). Setup was not an issue but the fiberpoles were damaged later that year.
