Example: There was snow on the sidewalk and I helped a old lady across the street. I helped her because I have a granny and wanted to help her. I did not help her because I wanted someone to see me (hopefully a breeding female); but I thought about it.

ive been exploring consciousness and spirit, contemplating a soul outside the body. ive been able to comprehend "living" beyond the body, and thanks to this, without the mind. i understand the practice of self-denial as a way to enlightenment now. we are but drops of water in the ocean that is the universe. everything exists on a frequency of energy, the light source, the soul.

wow, if you suspend the belief of an ego, what are you really? i see the ego as a demonic mask, on you as your skin is. you feel it, you trust it. it needs to feed, you need to feed. consciousness is pure and limitless love, it needs nothing. everything is everything. you are NOT a void. you are not empty. You are what FILLS the void. You are that IS, not that which does not exist. We are the water in the cup. Not the half-full cup. you ego is the cup that says 'fill me"

The ego is part of how we perceive reality. You shouldn't get rid of it, because it talks to you about how you -wish- the world was.
What you should do is not let it control you; Control it.
Realize that perhaps reality is not how you wish it was, and that you can be wrong, but that it's not the end of the world.
