this kick is just as dramatic as the one Houghtlin kicked to beat Michigan the year before, but i think it gets forgotten by iowa fans.

Wow! I remember watching this game with my late grandfather when I was a kid. He jumped out of his recliner and right over his footstool when the ball went thru the goalpoasts. A memory I will take to the grave. Great seeing it again!

Seriously, my favorite moment is after SD State called time out to ice the kicker and Houghtlin walked over to Fry. I don't know what he said but he reached down, grabbed himself and seemed to say "they can eat this". Greatest moment in Hawkeye football history!

Ugh. Kill me please. I'm one of the Marching Aztecs' member on the goalline @ 6:06. All the Aztecs had to do was cover the damn kickoff. More than 20 years later, I've known nothing but agony. >:(
