@haynet1962 Do you know were i can find stats of the old timers centuries? There is a list of people who have made over 100 but not of those who made under.

None of the players were any good from a positional point of view back in the 1970s, and the seniors therefore still aren't. Willie Thorne was the first player to embrace positional play in the way the modern players do - hence he scored more than 100 tournament centuries despite having won only one ranking tournament. Many more successful players than Thorne haven't scored 100 centuries (eg, Ray Reardon, Alex Higgins, Terry Griffiths, Dennis Taylor etc).

Mans was also known as one of the best potters in the game. Higgins was great on his day, but it wasn't always his day. It wasn't his day when he played Mans in the final.

Its a miricale mans got to the 1978 World Championship final with such shitty positional play, was known as the worst positional player in the game, can someone please tell me how the f he beat higgins in the b+h final as well its so long ago i cant remember

At 5.45 Mans hit the yellow and Johnson was supposed to be awarded 2 points instead of 4
